"New Era" in partnership with "New and Used" buy major KU Teleport

August 2009.   In June we purchased the entire contents of a KU Band teleport in the Mid West.

In the first week of August we sent our crew to take down the two antennas, a Vertex 9M four port and a Vertex 4.8M two port. The take down went very well and we have packed the two antennas into the storage container shown in the photograph below.

New Era signs equipment purchase deal with Dow Jones

March 2009.   Dow Jones requested bids from the satellite community for the purchase of all of their C-Band satellite communication equipment throughout the USA.

We were the successful bidder and within six weeks removed all of the equipment from their seventeen USA based satellite stations.

Mining sites in Africa contract for Satellite Connections

March 2006.   New Era has just completed a satellite communication installation for a prestigious Australian mining company opening two new sites in Mauritania North Western Africa. In addition to Internet Access and file transfers they require VoIP connections to HQ

September 2007.   Pleased with twelve months of successful operation, our mining client requested the we connect two more sites to our C-Band VSAT network, the new sites are in Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo

December 2007.   We normally connect clients to our teleport in Miami, but this new project is for a point to point Africa to Africa connection between two remote mining sites.

May 2008.   Each of the mining locations carries a large number of ex-patriot employees who need connections to their homes in other countries. The company has authorized the VSAT connection for one housing compound, each house is connected by wireless to the satellite hub and from there to the whole world.

January 2009.   On hearing that one housing compound has full Internet and International telephone service, the employees at another major compound requested the same treatment and although commodity prices are suffering under the economic conditions, the mine owners authorized another large VSAT link for their employee's comfort

The client's continued faith in our outstanding service was demonstrated by the fact that they continued to place more sites under our control.

NEW ERA re-building the communications infrastructure in Iraq

May 2003.  Ex-patriot Iraqis are returning to their homeland and beginning new businesses. Telecom and Internet access are in very bad repair at present, but these new Iraqi Entrepreneurs are turning to VSAT as a cheap and convenient way of offering service.

Since May of 2003, New Era has shipped five VSAT systems to be installed in various cities in Iraq. Each system has been tailored to the particular environment and application that it is to provide.
